FOOT SCANNING

RSscan Lab’s advanced foot scanning technologies are used all over the world in many medical disciplines to achieve the kind of detailed data that ensures the right diagnosis every time.

If you want to extend your diagnostic tools to give the most thorough analysis of your patients, our foot scanning systems produce comprehensive analysis for pressure and force, gait and balance. RSscan Lab’s footscan plates give biomechanical breakdowns of all areas under the foot and can even assess metatarsal loading information as well as static and dynamic breakdowns.

With over 500 frames of data a second generated by the tiny sensors in our foot scan plates your department or company can capture information not possible to see in barefoot mechanics. Our technology has even been used in universities to test cattle for dynamic planter pressure, and so our foot scans are built to be incredibly durable and are available in gait, balance and flexible materials.

Our foot scanning software package comes with many functions built-in: comparison screens, timing screen, single step analysis screens and pressure/force graphs are all part of the networking package. We also have a built-in database so that a patient’s progress can be assessed over time and a 2D and 3D image screen to give early indications of any potential problem such as diabetic foot ulceration.

Browse our website to see how our research and clinical software packages differ, and to discover which is the right package for you.

The insole system provides in-shoe pressure measurement data and is triggered by remote control. This allows data to be collected from various activities in their natural environments. The insole system uses the same size sensors and recording speeds as the footscan® plates.

analogue / usb
Connection of computer to footscan® systems is established by either:
  • Transfer of data throught an ANALOGUE box.
  • High speed USB connection
synchronisation
The footscan® systems can be synchronised and used to trigger at the touch of a button other data collecting instruments such as Force platforms, Cameras (High speed and video) and EMG systems.
sizes
The analogue footscan® plates are available in three sizes:
0.5m> 50x40cm(4096 sensors)
1m > 100x40cm(8192 sensors)
2m > 200x40cm(16384 sensors)

The USB footscan® plate is available in one size:
0.5m > 50x40m(4096 sensors)
