FOOT PRESSURE ANALYSIS

For the best advances in foot pressure analysis used by clinicians across the world, RSscan Lab’s foot scanning systems give comprehensive data readouts for every patient every time.

RSscan Lab have created a system for professional foot pressure measurement that allow the clinician to analyse everything from pressure and force in specific areas of the foot during standing and walking to balance screens showing metatarsal loading, heel rotation, and midfoot balance.

Our footscan plates can record up to 500 frames of data a second and use small sensors of 5mm x 7mm to give accurate analysis of deviations in all regions under the foot. Our systems can also be synchronized to trigger other media outside of the integral setup including cameras, Force plates and EMG analysis equipment. The benefits of such detailed data are clear - used by osteopaths, podiatrists, chiropodists and university research labs across the world our foot pressure plates generate data that can be applied in almost every discipline.

Used in the world of sport technology also our foot pressure analysis systems are also used to help sports professionals maintain their peak performances as well as to identify any potential problems. Since sports people can put up to 18 times their body weight through their feet they are likely to experience problems caused by poor foot function. Our foot pressure measurement systems can be used as a preventative measure as much as a diagnostic tool.

The insole system provides in-shoe pressure measurement data and is triggered by remote control. This allows data to be collected from various activities in their natural environments. The insole system uses the same size sensors and recording speeds as the footscan® plates.

analogue / usb
Connection of computer to footscan® systems is established by either:
  • Transfer of data throught an ANALOGUE box.
  • High speed USB connection
synchronisation
The footscan® systems can be synchronised and used to trigger at the touch of a button other data collecting instruments such as Force platforms, Cameras (High speed and video) and EMG systems.
sizes
The analogue footscan® plates are available in three sizes:
0.5m> 50x40cm(4096 sensors)
1m > 100x40cm(8192 sensors)
2m > 200x40cm(16384 sensors)

The USB footscan® plate is available in one size:
